➀ Marvell demonstrated a functional PCIe Gen7 SerDes running at 128GT/s using a 3nm process node at the OCP Summit 2024. The SerDes is a key component for next-generation PCIe connections. ➁ The demonstration included a Tektronix box to validate PCIe Gen7 operation at the high speed. ➂ The industry is moving towards PAM4 for these connections to support new PCIe generations.
