➀ Australia's Additive Manufacturing Cooperative Research Centre (AMCRC) secures 58 million AUD in government funding to advance additive manufacturing (AM) R&D, with a total budget of 271 million AUD, aiming to position AM as a key future technology for Australian industry;
➁ The Fraunhofer IAPT, as the sole Fraunhofer institute in the AMCRC, will contribute expertise across the entire AM value chain, collaborating with Australian universities, government bodies, and industry partners to drive sustainable and globally competitive manufacturing;
➂ The initiative focuses on certifying AM applications in aerospace, defense, renewable energy, and healthcare, while reducing carbon emissions, supply chain costs, and enhancing industrial productivity through advanced 3D printing technologies.
