1. A research team from the Chinese Academy of Sciences developed a dual-functional high-efficiency antimicrobial nanozyme that mimics antimicrobial peptides and enzymes. 2. The nanozyme, Ni-IH-7, demonstrates peroxidase and phospholipase C-like activities and can effectively kill fungi by binding to mannoprotein on Candida albicans. 3. This study introduces a novel method of combining antimicrobial peptides with nanozymes, potentially aiding in the creation of new antimicrobial drugs.
