CyberPowerPC recently announced the launch of a 'ROP guarantee program' for all GeForce RTX 50 series GPUs before they are shipped to customers. This move comes in response to the issue of missing ROPs (Raster Operations Processors) in some NVIDIA GeForce RTX 50 series GPUs, which can lead to reduced performance.
The company has taken it upon itself to ensure that every RTX 50 series-powered desktop gaming PC is tested for the correct number of ROPs before it is shipped to customers. This is a proactive measure to prevent customers from receiving GPUs with performance issues.
NVIDIA has acknowledged the issue and has advised RTX 50 series owners to contact their AIB (Add-in Board) manufacturer for a replacement. CyberPowerPC's program is an additional layer of protection for customers who purchase their gaming PCs from the company.
For those unfamiliar with the term ROP, it is a component of the GPU that is responsible for converting vector graphics into pixels on the screen. A missing ROP can significantly impact the performance of a graphics card, especially in graphics-intensive tasks.
