➀ The UL-Ireland research project focuses on active intelligent reconfigurable surfaces for 6G wireless communications. These surfaces can intercept and guide weak millimetre-wave and terahertz signals. ➁ The project, called AR-COM, is a collaboration between the University of Glasgow and the Tyndall National Institute's Wireless Communications Laboratory. ➂ The three-year project aims to develop next-generation technologies to overcome limitations of current wireless communication materials.
