According to recent rumors, the upcoming GeForce RTX 5060 and RTX 5060 Ti gaming GPUs from NVIDIA will feature the GB206 'Blackwell' GPU with GDDR7 memory, offering increased bandwidth compared to previous generations.

The RTX 5060 Ti will be equipped with 16GB of VRAM, while the RTX 5060 will stick with the more traditional 8GB. This VRAM configuration has sparked debate in the hardcore gaming community, as some expected the RTX 5060 to also come with 16GB of VRAM.

The shift to GDDR7 memory could bring a significant performance boost, even with the same VRAM capacity as the RTX 40 Series. This is because GDDR7 memory offers a higher bandwidth, which can improve the performance of high-end ray tracing and texture quality, especially when gaming in 4K and 1440p resolutions.

While the RTX 5060 Ti is likely to be targeted at 1440p gaming, the RTX 5060 is expected to be aimed at high refresh-rate 1080p gaming. Both GPUs will support RTX technologies like DLSS and Frame Generation, which can enhance the gaming experience.
