Microsoft has recently rolled out an update to address the changes made in the European Digital Markets Act (DMA). This update aims to bring Windows 10 up to speed with the new regulations, especially for users within the European Economic Area (EEA).

One of the key changes is the implementation of a Single Sign-On (SSO) notice. When a user signs into Windows and clicks on an app within the EEA, they are prompted to choose whether to use their Windows login credentials for the application. Initially, Microsoft had stated that this notice would not appear if the user logged into the app with the same credentials used to log into Windows. However, it was reported in August that the notice was appearing more frequently than intended.

This update, which is now available for Windows 10 users in both the Release Preview and Beta Channels, is a lighter update in terms of features for the Windows 10 version. It is part of Microsoft's efforts to ensure compliance with the DMA and to provide a seamless user experience for its customers.
