The South Korean government has selected a consortium of leading universities, including KAIST, Korea University, Yonsei University, and POSTECH, to establish and operate a national AI research hub. 2. The hub, located in the Seoul AI Hub in Yangjae-dong, will receive 380 billion won in government funding by 2028, with additional investments from local governments and businesses. 3. The hub will serve as a focal point for domestic and international AI research collaboration, aiming to develop cutting-edge AI technologies and foster an AI-based industrial ecosystem.
