Particle, a San Francisco-based company, has introduced the Tachyon, an octa-core single-board computer designed for AI edge processing, featuring a Qualcomm Snapdragon Kryo CPU and 12Top/s neural processing capability. 2. The device supports 5G and Wi-Fi 6E, runs Ubuntu, and is compatible with Raspberry Pi accessories. 3. Particle aims to provide a full-stack IoT platform-as-a-service, with the Tachyon intended to work with its services but also capable of standalone operation.
