1. GIGABYTE has updated the UEFI BIOS for AMD 600 series chipset motherboards, adding an option to increase the TDP of the Ryzen 7 9700X and Ryzen 5 9600X from 65W to 105W. 2. This TDP change feature was newly added in AMD's BIOS AGESA 1.2.0.1a, with GIGABYTE reporting a roughly 13% improvement in multi-core performance at 105W compared to 65W, as tested with Cinebench R23. 3. The update applies to X670 and B650 series chipset motherboards, and similar updates have also been released by MSI and ASUS.
