➀ The Yooka-Laylee duology is a series of retro platformers reminiscent of the Nintendo 64 and PSOne mascot games. The first entry, originally released on the 8th generation of consoles, is being remastered for PS5, Series X|S, and PC, and will also be available on 'Nintendo' platforms. ➁ The remaster includes updates such as art and animation overhauls, new challenges, new collectible currency, a new world map, new tonics, a new move set, and an orchestral arrangement of the original soundtrack. ➂ The announcement suggests that the game might be one of the first confirmed for the upcoming Switch 2.
