➀ The Fraunhofer Institute for Photonic Microsystems (IPMS) has developed a Universal Display Data Converter (UDDC) for seamless image data transfer to microdisplays. ➁ The UDDC converts various video interfaces to a standard for driving microdisplays and facilitates development in AR and VR. ➂ The system uses an FPGA and supports industry-standard video protocols, including MIPI D-PHY+DSI and SMPTE SDI.
